Biologue welcomes PLOS Genetics and PLOS Comp Biol

You may have noticed from our new banner above that PLOS Biologue has recently welcomed PLOS Genetics and PLOS Computational Biology into the fold, meaning that Biologue is now THE blog for all the biology-themed journals at PLOS. We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate Biologue’s first anniversary!

What does this mean for you, our readers? Well, more content, more news, more discussions and more contributors for a start, but also an insight into two new scientific communities. PLOS Genetics and PLOS Computational Biology are run entirely by editorial boards of academics, who work right at the heart of the communities these journals serve. As with PLOS Biology’s academic editorial board, they are therefore extremely well placed to pick up on the latest developments from their field and to also translate them into ideas for new publishing projects and directions. We hope that you’ll see this reflected in the contributions from PLOS Genetics and PLOS Computational Biology over the coming months.

We’d also like to hear what you’d be interested to read about on PLOS Biologue – leave us a comment below and tell us what you’ve enjoyed reading on the blog in the past year and what you would like to see more of.
